Process communication, developed by Dr. Taibi Kahler in the early 1970’s, is a non-clinical model of communication, for both individuals and business, which can offer (business) people a firm behavioral, interaction and management foundation.
People interact with one another both in positive and negative ways according to a measurable and predictable model or PROCESS. Therefore, human behavior could be identified objectively as being either productive (COMMUNICATION) or non-productive (MISCOMMUNICATION).
To do so, Process communication will help us to identify personality types, determine individual psychological and motivational needs and choose preferred management styles and favorite channel or means of communication.
In fact, applying the concepts of Process communication will allow people to reduce wasted energy by stating what they want to say in ways that the person receiving the message will clearly understand it, thus eliminating or greatly reducing miscommunication and wasted effort.
The application of this concept in family conflict management, company management and marketing and sales effectiveness has already produced excellent results.
